Facebook Advertising, more for your money

About Facebook Advertising On your facebook page, left hand side menu, you have a link to create adds for your business. These adds will be displayed on the right hand-side of Facebook pages. But what is the interest of this new form of advertising. In what is it different from Google, Yahoo, MSN or any other online advertising? The answer is simple: targeting and cost. Facebook advertising has the most powerful targeting tools in the advertising world.
Because Facebook collect an incredible amount of personal data on people, it make it very easy to display only advert people will be interested in. You can target people from their age and geographic location, but not only. Targeting by level of education, sexual orientation and relationship status, people on their birthday, their type of work, their interest and groups they have subscribe to, is also available. So for example I could easily target single women between 20 and 25 living in London who have a university degree and are interested in disco music to advertise my next disco concert in London. The amount you pay for your add is left up to you, but Facebook gives you an estimation of what other advertiser pay for similar targeting. The interest here is that compared to other mode of advertising, you are paying for highly targeted people, this means that your click rate should be very high. If so you can now choose to pay per impression rater than per click.
This will dramatically reduce the amount you pay for your add if your click rate is higher than 1 or 2 click per 1000 impression. And your traffic will still be highly targeted. You now understand that with this type of advertising you can highly increase your return on investment and very quickly. My preferred mode of advertising has become Facebook lately, and there no wonder why! I can get 10x more traffic, 10x more relevant visit and 10x more sales. The down side

This is a forceful intel but from personal experience, I block out all ads on Facebook.

Thanks for your comment, I totally understand and sometimes do block Facebook ads myself. But using Facebook ads for quite a while now for advertising some of my clients businesses, i can see that the return is quite good and a lot of people do pay interest in these ads if they are well targeted. Also like in Google, you only pay if your ad is effectively displayed or if there is an effective click on it.
I think that if you added this section to the intel it would become far more powerful.
I have never clicked a facebook ad.
Thank you for sharing this information in fine detail. I'll have to look into a facebook account and hopefully find my way around. I'm no guru, and learning new things is a slow process.
