First lets have a look at what is VoIP. VoIP is a phone line which goes through internet rather than usual canal. Yep no BT plug no more, it all goes through broadband. Easy to install, you simply plug your phone into your router, or switch when you have many phones to plug with a simple Ethernet cable. First to use the power of VoIP you will need a software that will manage your new internet phone line. This software is the one that will allow you to control your calls, your contacts and your personal numbers (including extensions). From there you will be able to control about anything from your line, forwarding to any number, wait, transfer, voice messages, block incoming calls, prioritize calls, allocate incoming calls to specific extensions automatically, make conference calls and plan them, but also transfer a pending call to a different number if you need to move or locate which phone your on in your building, sending emails or text messages to warn you of a voice message. Also you can benefit from a virtual phone. Basically a phone application directly on your computer. To use it you only need a microphone and speakers. This can be used from anywhere as long as you have broadband, incredible feature for those who have a mobile office.
